Philosophy “I offer a safe and professional training program that is always interesting and fun”. Aerotrike Aviation owner, operator and Chief Flight Instructor, Cathy Montgomery, is a Transport Canada Rated Ultralight Flight Instructor. Offering flight training since 1999, Cathy has focused her skills on teaching students to fly Trikes. “Trike flying is open cockpit flying that defines grass roots aviation”. As a Transport Canada Authorized Person, Cathy takes students from the first “introductory flight” to the issuance of the Ultralight Pilot Permit. As a Flight Test Examiner Cathy can endorse the Ultralight Pilot Permit with an Instructor Rating and / or Passenger Carrying Rating. Ultralight ground school courses are offered twice per year and include the Aeronautical Radio operator course and licence. Flight training at Aerotrike Aviation is conducted at Peterborough Municipal Airport under a diverse set of weather and air traffic conditions. Stimulating mental and physical activity helps students acquire the skills and knowledge to become good safe pilots.
