About Kevin Brown

UPAC Vice President

Kevin received his private pilot’s license in 1994 after joining the Port Elgin flying club where he volunteered as the club’s treasurer.

Kevin flew mainly Cessna 172s and 150s over the first 10 years of his flying career. He has conducted many cross-country trips in the Cessna 172, including to Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Michigan and New York. In 2004 Kevin decided to try his hand at building an aircraft and selected the Quad City, Challenger II, ultralight which he has been flying ever since.

Many people don’t realize you can fly ultralights across the country and Kevin has flown his Challenger to Wisconsin, Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, Quebec, the Gaspé Peninsula, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. To assist owners and pilots in meeting their aircraft inspection and maintenance requirements under CARs, Kevin has written an app called AimForSafety.

Along with being a long-term member of UPAC, Kevin is also a member of COPA and the EAA.
